FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Swim:ED
School swimming, without leaving school. We bring a heated pop-up pool, qualified teachers and lifeguards onto your playground — so every child learns to swim and stay safe in the water, without the travel, the cost or the lost learning time.

Our pool. Your playground.
A real pool, on your site, for the length of your programme.
A heated pop-up pool sits securely inside a temporary modular structure on your school grounds, staffed throughout by qualified swimming teachers and lifeguards.
There is no off-site travel, which means no learning time lost getting there and back, and no transport to organise. But it is more than a convenience. It is a way of making sure every child in your school — whatever their background, whatever their starting point — leaves primary school confident, competent and safe in the water.
What your school gets
More learning time
No coach journeys, no walking across town. The time you book is time children spend in the water.
Fewer logistics
No transport to arrange, no external pool to book, no timetable built around somebody else’s availability.
Data you can use
Pupil progress mapped to national curriculum requirements for swimming and water safety, ready for your reporting.
Safety taken seriously
A full Pool Safety Operating Procedure, qualified lifeguards on poolside for every session, and daily water testing.
Genuinely inclusive
Every child taught properly, whatever their circumstances or starting point, at a 2:12 adult-to-child ratio.
Cost efficient
Once transport, staff time and pool hire are counted, an on-site programme often costs less than a conventional one.

How does your school swimming measure up?
Around one in four children in England leave primary school unable to swim 25 metres or perform a safe self-rescue. Swimming is the only part of the national curriculum that can save a child’s life, and it should not be the first thing to go when a term gets tight.
The Primary School Swimming Review, developed with Swim England, turns a short set of questions into a personalised action plan for your provision — where it is strong, and where it could improve. It takes about four minutes, it is free, and there is no obligation attached.
Already taken the review? We are happy to talk through what your results mean for your school — no obligation.
What schools say
Swim:ED is already running in primary schools around the country. Here is what school leaders have said about it.
Swim:ED has revolutionised swimming lessons at Timberley Primary Academy, saving us logistical challenges and assisting Year 6 attendance. With improved swimming skills and heightened water safety awareness, the impact on our children is beyond measure.
Ian Griffiths, Deputy Head, Timberley Primary Academy
The progress made by the children and the confidence they had in the water was more than we could have hoped for. All of the children loved the sessions and the small group numbers meant that lessons were individualised. The sessions ran smoothly with no disruption to the rest of the school.
Chris Hattam, Headteacher, Westbourne School
Swimming progress and attainment have improved at an incredible rate during the 6 weeks that the pop-up pool was on site. Our pupils have all developed their resilience and perseverance as well as their swimming skills for life.
Bonar Caswell, PE Lead, Willows County Primary School

Delivered by Pool Stars
Swim:ED is delivered locally by Pool Stars, an independent swim school based at Wyboston. We teach around 350 children a week, with a team of ten.
Before setting up Pool Stars I spent eleven years in secondary education — as a PE teacher, then Head of Year, then Assistant Head and Assistant Principal. I have held responsibility for Pupil Premium and Catch Up funding, and for pupil outcomes and intervention, so I know what it is like to decide what a pot of money buys and then have to evidence what it bought. Swimming is often the thing that loses that argument.
When you work with us you are dealing with a local team you can pick up the phone to, run by someone who has sat on your side of the desk.
